Britney couldn't get that one guy out of her mind. Everyday she waited to see if he came back in. And he never did, until...
"Britney, get table four!" Britney's co-manager yelled. Britney huffed and grabbed a pen and notepad.
"Can I take your order sir?" Britney asked, not bothering to look up.
"I told you my name was Justin, no need for sir." Came a sincere voice.
Britney smiled and looked up to see those baby blue eyes.
"Why hello! Anything you'd like?" She asked smiling.
"Yeah, but it's not on the menu," He said handing the menu to her. She stood confused.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what we couldn't have..."
"A date with you after your shift? If you’re single, that is."
Britney looked at him. His blue eyes showed trustworthiness and his smirk showed that he was a gentleman. Britney nodded.
"That'd be fine, I don't get off until seven." She started but he stopped her.
"Seven then. I will be back to get you, so have a nice day," He said giving one of his cutest smiles. Her heart melted and all she could do was nod. She shrieked with joy as soon as he left.
"Hot date or something?" Linda, one of Britney's co-workers, asked. Britney smiled.
"Actually yes and he'll be here when I get off work!" Britney said happily.
Linda laughed.
"Good for you. About time you found a good man."
Britney rolled her eyes.
"As long as they’re not like my dad I'm good," Britney and Linda laughed.
Linda had been a good friend of Britney's since their senior year of high school and stood by her no matter what. Hopefully, she'd stand by her during this.
