"Do you think this is easy for me?"Britney asked turning her attention back to her. "For godssake. He has one child and another one on the way."
"Good. So now you can call off the wedding."Lynne grinned. "It's for the best."
"For who's? yours."Britney snapped. "Cause it sure seems like it."
"No...yes but it's for your own good."Lynne turned her back away from Britney.
"How do you know what's best for me? I am a freaking grown ass woman, a fucking 22 year old."Britney said tears streaming down her cheeks. "I can make my decisions, and know what best for me, what's good for me and what's not. This is bullshit."
"Don't use that language with me. It's for your best and the wedding is off."Lynne looked at her daughter.
"God, mama when I married Jason you opposed to that, you made me get an annulment, and I was alright with that, I am even thanking you but you still opposed. And now Kevin too."Britney screamed. "What is it that you want?"
"I want you to have a real man, one that doesn't abandon his kids to go with some hoodrat. I mean...."Lynne screamed.
"No that's ok, I know what you mean...thanks for sharing your opininon, now could you please leave."Britney cried.
"Britney. I didn't mean it that way. Listen you know I love you and want the best for you."Lynne went to console her daughter, but Britney pulled away. "And he is just not right for you. He needs to be with that other woman and his kids."
"You think I don't know that?"Britney asked. "It's hard for both of us. We tried talking to her but she doesn't listen."
"You have talked to her?"Lynne asked surprised. "And what did she say."
"That I need to be a woman and let Kevin go."Britney looked down at her feet, trying to see her mother's face.
"And she is right, that girl has some sense. Britney how would you like it, if some girl came and took your guy while both of you had a kid and another one was on the way?"Lynne looked down at her. "Tell me. Wouldn't that feel good?"Lynne said sarcastically.
"If I knew he didn't love, or wouldn't want to be with me, or cared for me I wouldn't force to him to be with me, I wouldn't want to be a burden to him, or for me to suffer each day for not getting the affection from him or any attention. As long would take care of his kids and we would be alright, a girl as same goes for the guy need to know that when a person doesn't want them they should let them go and not force them to be with them."
"Are you sure about that?"Lynne knelt down to the floor, where Britney was. "Wouldn't it hurt to see the guy with some big super star on T.V., while you were home carrying his child."
"There is no point to this."Britney laughed sarcastically. "Mama what are you trying to do? to turn my back against Kevin?"
"Hey if it works."Lynne shrugged her shoulders.
"Well it's not working. When did you turn soo.....vile?"Britney asked as she got up from the floor. "No wonder Jamie Lynn is turning like such a diva, soo on your face attitude, soo defensive,she is learning it from you."
"Don't turn this conversation about Jaim Lynn, she is my daughter and I will race her the way I want."Lynne walked around the room. "And right now, I am telling you I will not attend that wedding if it does happen, nor will your father. As a matter of a fact Jamie Lynn either."
"Mama you seriously can't do that."Britney shook her head.
"I do not approve of the wedding and I will not attend."Lynne looked at Britney straight to the eyes.
"Oh mama please don't do this."Britney turned on the T.V. "Yes you heard it here, Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz are no longer a couple. No one knows why it happened, but speculation is Cameron was getting tired of being second best. But to who?"
"Mama."Britney turned her attention to Lynne. "You want Justin don't you, he is the real man you talk about."
"Yes he is."Lynne said firmly. "He is a real man."
"You have to be kidding me. He broke up with me, to got with another woman, cause he supposevly lost the love he left for me."Britney laughed. "That's your defenition of a real man?"
"Britney.....what can I say."Lynne smiled. "He is good for you."
"Right."Britney kept on laughing. "Him and me? oh keep dreaming mama, before I would marry him I'd have to be crazy and pretty stupid."
"Your actions show me other wise."Lynne said. "Now I have already called Justin to come and talk to you."
"What, so now he is my therapists or something? that I need to tell him what's going on with me."Britney snapped. "Mama you are loosing it."
"Britney, I still am your mother don't talk about me that way."Lynne said angry.
"If you were you would support with everything. All my life all you wanted me to do was please you only you. Not anymore. You had my brain soo washed, that I was practically scared about writing a song or do something, cause then I would show my emotions and be scared that you would get pissed. About what I would be thinking and be feeling but that's all over."
"Britney, once again you are doing a truely bad mistake. Justin will be here in an hour."Lynne walked out Britney's bedroom.
"Fucking great."Britney screamed. "Justin coming into my life once gain."Britney thought about what she just said. Could she fall for him again? Was the love for him still there, was she just hiding her love for him? was she confusing the love she felt for Kevin with Justin's? all these questions came running into her mind. She was going to see him in an hour and she couldn't help but smile.
