Infatuation
SS by Tiffany
He comes from a southern place A town far away
Britney's POV
I sit in here in a cafe in Los Angeles playing with my coffee. I remember my father's words, "Britney I may not be able to come to your game tonight. I have a case that needs to be finished with and your mother has to do a few surgeries tonight. Can you watch Jamie Lynn?" He asked. I hung up the phone and came here. I shake my head and clench my jaw and fist. I knew I shouldn't have told them about the game. It's the same thing every time. They always have something that comes up. Oh well. We won anyway. I walk out of Starbucks heading to my car. I turn around the corner to come face to face with the most gorgeous blue eyes I've ever seen.
"Sorry." He says as his friends walk into Starbucks.
"That's alright." I say smiling at him.
"Are you sure?" He asks.
"Are you from the south?" I ask. I noticed with his manners.
"Yeah. How could you tell?" He asks surprised. "I mean, I don't have the accent."
"Charm I guess." I say as I smile. That was just the first time we saw each other.
Intrigues me with every move
Til' I'm breathless, I'm helpless
Can't keep my cool
Steals my heart when he takes my hand
And we dance, to the rhythm of the band
I feel his finger tips, grip my hips
And I slip as we dip into a rare bliss
"Britney!!! Justin's here!" Bryan yells from the stairway.
"Alright." I say walking down the stairs in a plain white skirt, and pink tube top.
"You look nice." Justin smiles as we get in the car.
"You do too." I blush. "So where are we going?" I ask out of curiosity.
"Dancing. that OK with you?" he asks looking at me with those baby blues. I could've died right there.
"Yeah." I choke out. We arrive at the club. "Nice band." I smile as we dance to "I'm Glad."
"I know. I've known them since like I was two." He says as the DJ spins the record.
"It's weird." I say as he rubs my back.
"How?"
"They have a band play a few songs, then they have records. It's cool" I smile. We look into each other's eyes. Right then I knew he wouldn't be leaving my life for a long time. He leaned down and I closed the space between us, our lips meeting in a passionate kiss.
Mama used to warn me
To beware of those southern lovers
She said I gave my heart too soon
And that's how I became your mother
I said ay mama, you seem to forget
I'm not in love yet
Sweet talk don't win me over
But I realized
Big blue eyes can hypnotize
When he says I am full blood boricua
"Britney, he's a southern man. They'll drop you like a pin." My mother lectures.
"Mama, you and daddy seemed so happy. What happened? Remember, I'm not in love yet, and I don't let sweet talk win me over." I reassured. But deep down inside, I knew she was right.
Read the tattoo on his arm
He tells me, mami I need ya
And my heartbeat pumps so strong
Getting lost in the rhythm
"Nice tattoo." I whisper as Justin gets out of his pool.
"Britney, what ya doing here? Thought you had too spend the day with your family?" He asks kissing my cheek, slipping his hands around my waist.
"Yeah, but it's end up in a fight. Besides, my dad and his bitch wanted to go by themselves." I said kissing his neck.
"Ah...that's not the truth is
it?" he asks as he takes my shirt off.
"Almost the truth. Basically I lied. I said, "I'm dating a really rich
doctor and so in order to not take from you daddy, I should spend time with
him." And of course, he believed it. But you have to remember, that's
partially the truth." I smiled as he pushed me in the pool. I came up and
pulled him in.
"Now whose the assertive one?" He asks as we swim to the rock formation that has the waterfall.
"You are, and always will be." I say. He leans into kiss me. For once in my life I feel loved.
He whispers no sea espantado
I begin to give in with no hesitation
Can't help my infatuation
"Britney, will you let me make love to you?" He asks as we sit in his Vail, CO home. We sit in front of the fire place and I begin to think about it.
"Yeah." I say uneasily.
"Don't be scared." He whispers as he lays on top of me. Soon our clothes are stripped away. " Are you OK?" He asks as he enters me. He breaks my hemn and tears come to my eyes.
"I am now." Whisper as we begin to make love.
Skin the color of cinnamon
His eyes light up and I melt within
Feels so good it must be a sin
I can't stop what I started
I'm giving in
He brings life to my fantasies
Sparks a passion inside of me
Finds the words when I can not speak
In the silence, his heartbeat is music to me
"J...I don't know what to say." I gasp as he pulls out a 9 carrot diamond ring.
"No words are needed. Just, yes, or no." He says as he looks up at me with those baby blues. We've been going out for 3 years.
"Yes. Yes I will marry you." I cry as he hugs me. God , I love this man.
Mama used to warn me
Not to rush love with another
She said I'm not trying to lecture
I just care about my daughter
Ay mama, you seem to forget
I never will let
A man control my emotions
But when he smiles
I feel like a little child
When he says
"Britney, I need to ask you something." My mother said as I put my veil on.
"What?"
"Did you rush love with him? I don't want him controlling your emotions." She said as she hugged me.
"No. Of course not." I smiled.
"Alright." She sighed." Let's get my baby married."
I am full blood boricua
Read the tattoo on his arm
He tells me, mami I need ya
And my heartbeat pumps so strong
Getting lost in el ritmo
He whispers te quiero, te quiero
I begin to give in with no hesitation
Can't help my infatuation
It's pure infatuation
