Prologue:
Britney walked through the front door of her home in Louisiana. She took one look around the foyer and felt relief and happiness. Every time she came home, she always had a good feeling and was always glad to be able to spend time with her family. After two weeks of promoting in New York City, Britney wanted to go home and just be her normal self for once.
After looking around the foyer, Britney dropped her bags by the stairs and went searching for anyone who was home. She heard a very familiar voice coming from the kitchen, so she went there right away. When Britney entered the room, her mom was on the phone.
"Oh okay, well Lynn, Britney just got in, so I'll call you later and we'll finish our conversation...okay, I will. Bye!" Lynne said over the phone.
'What is Mama talking to Justin's mom for?' Britney thought curiously.
When Lynne hung up the phone, she walked over to Britney and gave her a hug and a kiss like she hadn't seen her daughter in years. These moments were always just so special to Britney.
"Welcome home, Brit! How was your flight?" Lynne asked her daughter.
"Long," Britney said with a laugh, "I guess I just couldn't wait to get home!"
"Yea, I'll bet! Jamie can't wait to see you. She wanted to stay home from school today!" Lynne replied with a laugh.
Britney just smiled at what her mom just said. Britney and Jamie Lynn had a special relationship. Every time Britney came home, they always had their time together.
Standing there silently for a minute, Britney finally decided to ask Lynne why she was talking to Justin's mom.
"Mama, can I ask you a question?" Britney asked innocently.
"Sure, honey, what is it?" Lynne replied a little worried. Britney never asked if she could ask a question. She was usually so open.
"What were you talking to Lynn about?" Britney asked curiously. She knew that her mom and Lynn were good friends, but they kind of lost touch after Britney and Justin broke up.
"We were just talking about stuff going on." Lynne replied, not wanting to tell Britney the whole truth.
"Oh, okay. How is Lynn?" Britney asked.
"She's good, Justin is good as well." Lynne added the Justin part knowing that Britney wanted to know about him, but just didn't want to ask.
"I know, I saw him this week." Britney replied without hesitation.
"You did?" Lynne questioned wanting to know the details.
"Mama, there's something I've been hiding from you..."Britney began with caution.
