Part 1

"I'll see you later baby." I kissed Kevin quickly before grabbing my bag to go to the club.

"All right. Have fun, don't party too hard." Kevin chuckled.

"I can't promise you that." I winked, making my way out the door.

Once I reached the club, I entered through the back where I usually do and try to spot my friends.

"Brit!"

"Oh there you are. Hey Jenny! Happy Birthday!" I smile as I hug one of my closest friends.

"Thanks, glad you could make it!"

"How could I miss your birthday." I smile handing her the birthday present I picked out.

"Aw, thanks girl."

Courtney, Clarissa, and Kate made their way to greet us.

We all exchanged hugs and walked to the VIP room.

"So Brit, how are you and your erm fiance?" Jenny asked with a not so satisfied face.

"We're great." I smiled uncomfortably seeing that look on her face.

"Do you love him?"

"Yes, I do. What's with the questions Jenny?" I said getting a little irritated.

"Or do you want to think you love him?" She continued.

What is with her.

"Jenny."

"Brit, we're just talking here."

"This is your party, why are we wasting it by talking about me?"

"I'm just wondering, Brit."

"Wondering what, exactly?"

"Why in your right mind your deciding to marry a guy knowing him for 2 months."

"It's 3."

"You asked him to marry you at 2 months."

"Jenny, please. Enough with this."

"Brit, I'm just watching out for you. I don't want you to get hurt."

"I'm not going to get hurt, ok?"

"How would you know that? Especially, if this guy has cheated on his past three serious relationships. Brit, you should be aware of that."

"Look -" I started to say but she didn't stop.

"I know what this is. He's the closest thing you can find to someone else. You've totally given up on faith, haven't you? So you try to pretend to move on with this guy who's so similar to someone who you were so close to."

"What the fuck, Jenny. I've over Justin."

Jenny just looked at me and laughed.

I look at her confused and still irritated, "What?"

"That just proves that i'm not totally wrong. Justin is the first thing that came to your mind after I said that, and I didn't even mention him."

"Jen, please stop doing this to me. Can't you see i've moved on, clearly? I have."

"Britney. You're trying so hard to prove to everyone you "moved on" that you're rushing into a marriage." Jenny sighed. "Don't lose faith, just remember that. Faith comes as a surprise. And you can't ignore it."

I shake my head. This was not how I imagined tonight to be. I didn't need a lecture. Not from one of my best friends.

"Just drop it. I'll go get us some more drinks." I said getting up.

Not paying much attention and still thinking about that awkward conversation I had with Jenny, I didn't notice someone was in front of me, causing me to jump as I bumped into them.

"Oh, i'm sorry. I wasn't watching." I apologized but soon stopped dead in my tracks as I realized who I had run into.

"Britney." Was all he said.

But I realized he sounded drunk and tried to figure out what to say.

"Um, hi Justin."

"Hey. What are you doing here." He slurred as he tried to stand up straight.

"I'm here celebrating Jenny's birthday. Who are you here with?"

"Trace and Nick." He tried to grab my hand, but I pulled away, "But I was going to head home."

"You're drunk. You're in no condition to drive."

"Oh yea? Since when do you care." He laughed, almost tripping over someones foot.

"Justin, we need to find Nick and Trace. Seems like your're done for the night."

"Who the hell are you to tell me what and what not i'm going to do? I want to stay here."

"You just said you were on your way to go home." I said a little aggravated.

I tried to look over the crowds of people to see if I could spot either Trace or Nick but no luck.

After a little while of thinking, I decided I'll just take him home before he does anything to hurt himself.

"Do you know how beautiful you are?" Justin slurred.

"Ok, thanks," I took his hand and started walking to the exit. "Justin, i'm going to take you home."

"What? So now you want to do stuff to me. " Justin wiggled his eyebrows as he stumbled with each step.

"Just shut up, please. You're really out of it."

"Someone's not happy." Justin pouted as Britney pushed him on the passenger side of her car.

Before Britney got in, she dialed Jenny's cell number on her cellphone hoping she'd answer it.

"Hello?" Jenny answered after the fourth ring.

"Jenny." Britney sighed in relief.

"Brit! Where are you? How many drinks did you get if its taking you this long." Jenny laughed.

"Look, I bumped into an old friend. And they're not in very good condition so i'm driving them home."

"Is everything ok?"

"Yeah, I'll be back in half an hour ok?"

"All right, no problem."

"Thanks." She said before she hung up.

"Britneeeeey." Justin started to say in a singsong voice.

Britney shook her head and just ignored him as she started the ignition.

"God, what am I getting myself into." I mumbled as I drove way to his LA house.

Thankfully he stayed quiet throughout the rest of the drive.

When they reached his house, Britney helped him up and helped walk him to his door.

"Where's your keys?"

"In my pocket." He smiled pointing to the side of his pants.

Realizing that he wasn't planning on getting it out himself, Britney sighed and took it out of his pocket.

After unlocking the door, she got inside with Justin in front of her and closed it. She opened some of the lights so they wouldn't bump into anything.

Britney followed him to his bedrooom to make sure he went to sleep.

She watched him as he fell back on his bed. But before she can leave, he spoke out.

"Britney, please."

She looked at him curiously, "Please what?"

"Don't go. Stay with me, Britney."

"Justin. I don't think that I can."

"Please. Just for tonight. I need you beside me." He murmered.

"Justin," I started but he interrupted.

"Don't go." He begged.

I didn't know what to do, he sounded so vulnerable.

So with my weirdest insticts, I slipped off my shoes and made my way to the bed.

What am I doing.

I see his face light up and I smile weakly.

"Thank you." He smiled as I lay on the bed beside him.

"Shh. Go to sleep."

He fell asleep not too long after that and I couldn't help but just stare at him.

At that moment, the conversation I had with Jenny at the club came to me.

Faith. It comes in surprise.

Oh what I am thinking. I'm engaged.

Justin's POV

I groan as I open my eyes. Closing them quickly again because of the killing headache.

But I felt something different, so I tried to open my eyes again.

When I open them long enough to notice that someone was beside me, I gasp in shock and sit up quickly.

I rub my forehead hoping this hangover would end quick.

"Oh my god." I mutter to myself as I realize who this woman was.

I try to see if I can remember what happened the night before, but no such luck.

I lay back down and look at her.

She's so beautiful.

I didn't realize how I missed this so much. Just waking up seeing her face.

But, no this isn't right.

I don't even know how we got here.

Oh shit. Kevin just crossed my mind.

I look at her hand and spot the rock.

That's right, they're engaged.

My head hurts more as I keep thinking.

The club. I remember that. Nick, Trace, and I went to the club last night.

Oh yea, because of another fight I had with Cameron, I wanted to go out.

I must've gotten drunk.

But, how does this end up with Britney in my bed?

Just when it seems like i'm getting close to figuring this out, it get's odder.

I'm still staring at her when she begins to stir.

I don't know why i'm getting nervous, but I am as I get ready for when she wakes up.

Her eyes slowly flutter open as she tries to adjust to the light.

She looks at me and notices my eyes on her.

"Justin." She whispers and tries to smile.

"Brit. Um, I.. What.." I start to stutter but she laughs and I stop.

"What?" I ask confused.

"You were drunk. I took you home. You begged me to stay. And that's why I'm here." She said, "That's to make it short."

"Oh wow. Well, I don't know what to say."

"Say you'll be careful on the drinks next time." She winked.

"I'll try to." I laugh.

"But really, thank you." I say taking her hand.

She looks at our hands entwined and smiles, "Anytime."

After a few minutes of just looking at each other, she gets up and looks at the clock.

10:34 .

"Oh shit. I didn't call Kevin yet. He must be wondering where I am." I hear her mutter to herself.

I see her take out her cellphone from her purse and shook her head.

"Everything ok?" I ask in concern.

"Yeah, except the fact that I have 21 voicemails from the night."

"Kevin?" I ask trying not to sound unpleasant.

"Half of em."

I nod my head, "You hungry? I'll order us some room service. And I can make us some coffee if you want?"

She smiled softly, "Sure, thanks."

I groan once I stand up. My head is still ringing from all the drinks I had.

"You ok?" She asked concerned.

"Yeah, I'll be fine, thanks. Just hate the damn consequences of the morning after drinking." I chuckled.

"Oh don't I know it." She laughed.

As I was making us coffee, I overheard Britney on the phone.

"Jenny please, just go along with me here for now. If Kevin calls you, tell him I was at your place. We had a little sleepover."

"Just because. No, i'll tell you later ok? Thanks, I owe you."

I walk back into the room as she sighs and rubs her forehead.
