Daddy's Little Girl

"Mama" Britney asked sadly

"Yeah honey"

"Is daddy really upset?" She asked

"No why would you think that?"

"I guess the way he acted last night. Some of the things he has said
over the past few weeks."

"Honey, you know your dad has had a lot on his mind lately."

"I know, i almost feel guity for being so happy"

"Don't let daddy's gruffness fool you. He has been talking about this
non stop" Her mother laughed

"Really"

"Yes really. He wants you to be happy and he knows that you are happy"

"I'm glad because I was worriied about that. I mean I don't think I
could have went through with it if he was dissapointed "

:"How could he ever be, you are every parents dream"

"Thank you mama" she said as she hugged her mother."Mama" she said at
once "Have you seen Justin?"

"Yes I have, and he told me to tell you that he loved you and to
hurry up" she said and they both laughed.

"I guess it is getting late ha. Will you let daddy know I'm ready to
leave"

"Sure, and Brit....you look beautiful" her mother said as she kissed
her cheek and walked out the door.

Five minutes later Britney was fixing her makeup when she heard her
father walk in.

"Its a good thing your ready I was just about to put Justin out I
think he was starting to work on everyones nerves" he said jokingly.
Still not noticing Britney yet where she stood.

"He's that bad daddy?" she asked as she turned around laughing.

But her father didn't hear her. He was caught up in his own world.
Thinking remembering:
You're the end of the rainbow, my pot of gold,
You're daddy's little girl to have and hold.
A precious gem is what you are,
You're mommy's bright and shining star.

"Daddy, hello daddy" Brithey said

She had walked over to where he stood and placed a hand on his
arm. "I look alright don't I " she asked nervously "I mean its not
too much is it daddy"

But when he didn't reply she got the wrong idea. "OH god its too
revealing' she said "I knew it, I knew it was all wrong" she said as
a single tear fell from her eye.

You're the spirit of Christmas, my star on the tree,
You're the Easter bunny to mommy and me.
You're sugar you're spice, you're everything nice,
And you're daddy's little girl.

"No baby please don't cry" he said

"But you don't think that I look" But her stopped her

"You look absolutely amazing" he said "I guess I was just at a loss
for words for a second there"

You're the end of the rainbow, my pot of gold,
You're daddy's little girl to have and hold.
A precious gem is what you are,
You're mommy's bright and shining star.

"Are you sure daddy" she asked nervously

"I'm absolutely positive" he said " I have seen you ready for dance
recitals, proms and award shows. But nothing could have prepared me
for the site that is before me now." he said as he wiped his eyes "I
so wish your maw maw would have lived to see you today" he said sadly
as he wiped the tears from his yes.

"I know, so do I. But daddy , she's here" she some how managed to say
choking back the tears as she pointed to her heart and her
fathers. "She's right here"

"Your right baby" he said as he kissed her forhead

You're the treasure I cherish so sparkling and bright,
You were touched by the holy and beautiful light.
Like angels that sing a heavenly thing,
And you're daddy's little girl.

"You know "her father said in the car "the first time I saw you and
Justin together I knew this day was going to come"

"Daddy we were 11 and 12" she said laughing

"Thats ok, I knew. I could tell by the way you acted around each
other. It was cute."

"Your joking right?" she said laughing

"No, and then when the show was over and you came home the light that
was in your eyes had gone out. It didn't come back until you were
back doing what you wanted to. Just so happen that it was with
Justin. He took care of you then, I knew that it was only a matter of
time"

"You were so sure" she said as the car pulled to a stop in front the
small church.

"You weren't?"

Britney laughed "I guess I was in a way"

"No, I think you both always knew. Thats why you both faught so hard
to get here today. And thats whats going to make it last" he said

"Thank you daddy, for everything" she said as she threw herself in
her fathers arms and hugged him 'I love you"

"I love you too baby" he said. "But I better get you inside before
Justin wears a hole in that carpet too. I already told him he was
repairing the one he wore in at the house earlier"

Her father always knew when she needed to laugh. SO much the same way
Justin did. He was just like her daddy and she couldn't have been
happier at this moment. "Lets go daddy" she said as he helped her out
of the Limo.

Justin and Britney exchanged vows in front of only family and friends
at the small church where Britney had grown up. Pops power couple had
opeted to bypass all the media of a large wedding for one that was
just family. Because family was what they were all about.

That night after everyone had gone their seperate ways Britney's
father found a piece of paper with his name on it leaning against the
mantle of the fireplace. He opened it and began to read.

DearDaddy,
On our wedding day,
as my husband and I take our vows and make promises to each other,
I make this promise to you as well;
Even as I take him into my heart and life,
I promise to keep you Dad,
in my heart and life always.
For I know that I am able to love and cherish him so much
because you loved and cherished me first.
No one can replace you in this whole wide world,
and after I am married, I'll still be my Daddy's little girl.

I love you Daddy,
Brit
