"Brit are you ok?" Laura Lynne asked as the music blared around the room.

"Yeah I'm fine." she said not believing it herself.

"Aha, sure. You want some company?"

"I know, look. I need to get out of here. " Britney said as she got up for
the table.

"Where are you going?"

"I don't know." she said as she got up and walked out of the restaurant. Her
restaurant, the one they had thought of together. Planned together. Now it
was hers alone.



Minutes later she found herself sitting in Central Park, seeing
things that reminded her of Justin,the love of her life. As the light rain
fell so did the tears. She thought about how they used to be. How they had
laughed and how they had cried. But most of all she remembered how they had
loved. She felt closer to him then she has ever felt to anyone. There was
always something that kept them apart, first it was his management. Then it
was their careers and the travel. And it was the fans, they were worst of
all. Everything else they could get over and deal with. But the fans, they
were different. They were what made them and they could break them just as
fast. It had finally gotten to the point where neither one of them cared.

They were young and had it all.He promised her everything would be ok
and that one day they would be together, but then all of a sudden he
disappeared. As she was thinking of this she started to cry, she had just
turned 21 and she was thinking of the promises he had made to her over three
years of promises. Three years of love, yet she had not heard from him today
of all days. The day they had planned to pledge their lives to each other.

As she continued to cry she heard someone come up from behind her and
put a hand on her shoulder, she did not turn around because she was ashamed
for crying in public. And god the last thing she wanted was to be found by a
fan.

"Don't cry angel, I promised you we'd be together today and now we
can be, if you will forgive me, I never stopped loving you" She heard a
gentle voice come down and whisper in her ear when she heard this she turned
around and saw the face that had broken her heart. She began to cry harder
and she just fell into his arms, all he could do was hold her and tell her
how sorry he was.

Once she had pulled herself together she looked up and him and the
only thing that she could say to him was "What are you doing here?"

"I had to be here today." he said as she pulled back.

"How could you break my heart when you promised you'd never hurt me?"
she whispered.

His response was simple "Angel, I had to do it for you, I had to let
you experience things, I had to experience things. My life for the past few
months has been something that in one way I wanted to share with you. But in
another I couldn't, it wasn't your way Brit and I hope you can forgive me.

"I don't know." she said

"Why don't you come with me and we can talk"

"I don't know."

"Come on its cold, you need to get out of this weather." he said

"New car? she asked as they got into his car

after all things had changed and it wasn't the way it used to be. Once they
arrived he opened the door for her and took her hand as he led her to the
door of his apartment house. She had dreamed of this day but this house was
even more beautiful then she had expected.An apartment overlooking central
park with a view of the city. It wasn't the type that she had bought it was
the type of place they had dreamed of having. She sat down on the couch with
him and he explained to her why he had left and then she cried and poured
her heart out to him, even after all this time, she had never really moved
on and she just loved him more and more.

She moved in to him and he held her, he wiped away her tears like he
always said he would, then he bent down and kissed her, she was so surprised
yet this was the thing she had waited for, she was so happy that she cried
more. She told him how she had wanted him for 3 years and she couldn't take
it much more. He told her to stay there and he went into the other room. He
came back about 15 minutes later and she stood to meet him, he took her in
his arms and he said "Baby, I remember every detail of how you wanted your
first time to be, will you allow me to make that dream come true?" she
didn't have to answer with words, she just kissed him and he knew that is
what she wanted, he picked her up and carried her into his room. The room
was lit with candles and there were flowers everywhere with soft music
playing, she couldn't believe it. All her adult life she had wanted him to
be her first. Even if she walked away in the morning she would always
treasure the memory that he was the first lover she ever had.

neck, then her cheek, then to her lips. He began to lift up her shirt and

She stayed there that night, sleeping in his arms, having wonderful
dreams of them doing this for the rest of their lives. Once they woke up
they talked about the future, he proposed to her telling her how he'd waited
for this day. After a few tense minutes of silence gladly accepted, and
they held each other and made love again, the beginning of many days to come
in there wonderful life together. And the end of the darkness that had
clouded their lives for the past few months.
