Lynn's Point Of View

I love her so much.

He's spread lies about her, and that makes people like him more.  But the lies make people hate Britney even more.

Britney is over 18 and she should be allowed to act as a grown woman. Now 22, she faces things she faced before: criticism and hate. When you think of Britney Spears, you think smutty. What about Christina Aguilera(23), Beyonce Knowles(22), and the many other young Celebrities who ware revealing clothing and are "over sexified"?  They're not criticized as much as her.

Britney Spears was the first soloist to come out in the pop invasion in the late 90's.  Jessica Simpson, for one, looks like she lip synchs and isn't criticized.  Britney Spears is charged of setting a bad example (for her younger fans), lip synching, and a whole bunch of other crap that isn't true.  Sure she dresses revealing at times but she isn't the parent of people's kids.  She isn't telling them to follow her.  No, she isn't an angel. No one is perfect.  Madonna, though older than Britney when she started her career, was much worse.  She wasn't criticized.  No one is criticized as Britney Spears is.  I truly think she is a great person.  People don't like Britney because they're too busy watching her, to even notice what the "others" are doing.  They don't get criticized because Britney has already done it and if they do, it's not as crucial.

Some people used to like Justin Timberlake.  They liked him because he was cute, or hot, or whatever.  But really that is all they see.  In his fans' eyes he does no wrong.  While he "does no wrong" they blame it all on Britney.  He made "Cry Me A River" and said something like this, "It wasn't about her, it was about me".  Come on Justin, do you really want to lie to your fans? He isn't getting criticized, at least as harshly as Britney.  He is also a replica of Michael Jackson.  I used to like him.  My daughter told him off the other day and I was damn proud of her.

Flashback
"Mama what do you think of this?" Britney asked holding up a black security shirt with white lettering
"I like it" I smiled turning around
"Hi Lynn, Britney" Justin said as he and Cameron almost bumped into us
"Hello Justin" I replied. Britney stayed silent acting like she hadn't heard him
"Britney?" Justin asked
"I'm am not speaking to you, I don't want to have anything to do with you let alone have any communication with you" She snarled
"Why are you so itchy? What did I do to you?" He asked innocently. This made my blood boil.
"Think hard Justin. Think really hard" She said turning around
"Come on Britney that was what a year ago?" He asked as Cameron went over and looked at some clothes.  "Can't you get over it?"
She scoffed, "Get over it my ass! You said everything intimate about our relationship!  YOU told people I wasn't a virgin.  I would've liked to have told them myself!" She screeched. the whole store fell silent
"Britney, they knew that from the start.  And plus I didn't technically say that..." She cut him off and started yelling at him

"JUSTIN GOD DAMN IT! I DON'T FUCKING CARE IF THEY DID OR WHATEVER THE HELL YOU SAID ABOUT ME! I HAVE PRIVACY AND I INTENDED TO KEEP THAT AND TELL THEM MYSELF. YOU SON OF A BITCH YOU'RE LUCKY I DIDN'T TAKE YOU TO COURT OVER IT"

"Britney you don't have to yell. People are staring" He whispered

"DOES IT LOOK LIKE I CARE? IT ISN'T LIKE IT'S THE FIRST TIME!"

"You know what I'm going to be a man and just walk away from this since you're acting so childish"

"I'M BEING CHILDISH? AND YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO CALL YOURSELF A MAN?" she laughed. She started to talk through her teeth and grabbed his shirt collar. I looked at her nervously." Justin Randall Timberlake, you sir are nothing but a little boy.  A little boy who is far from being a man.  You know what I call a man?  A man is someone who has little pride to admit he was wrong.  A man doesn't gloat about sleeping with a woman.  A man doesn't go on a TV show and broadcast to the world about his former relationship with someone.   And a man doesn't make a god damn fucking stupid video about his ex and lie to the world.  That is what I call a man!" She said.

I was petrified she was going to do something rash.   He looked stunned.  She let go of his shirt collar and everyone gave her a standing ovation.   She stomped out of the store leaving Justin standing there embarrassed.

End of flashback.

I smile on that memory.  How I will never forget how she stood up to him and didn't even break a tear.  I'm proud of her for that.
